| 内容記述 | 石垣，白河，稚内，東京の4地域の小学生，中学生，高校生，大人(小，中，高の親)を対象とし，56の東京へのイメージ項目，東京への知識度，東京の情報をどれだけ欲しいかという情報獲得度や性別，年齢などの基本的属性について質問した。56の項目の因子分析(factor analysis) の結果，東京砂漠， Enjoy東京，先進都市，きたない，便利，ビジネス都市の因子構造を確認した。確認された結果は次の通りである。地区別ではネガティヴイメージ(東京砂漠，きたない)で地方サンプルが高く，ポジティヴイメージ(Enjoy東京，便利)で東京サンプルのイメージ得点が高かった。ポジティヴイメージである先進都市ではこの通りではなかった。知識度については知識度低群でポジティヴイメージが低く，ネガティヴイメージが逆に高い。地区別の結果にこの知識度の影響も考えられる。地方サンプルでの東京へ“行ったことがない”,“行ったことがある”,“住んだことがある”という経験要因では経験あり群の方が各イメージ得点が高くなる傾向にあった(ネガティヴ．ポジティヴ共)。きたないイメージでは地方サンプルと東京サンプルとの得点差を開く要因となっている。また東京砂漠イメージでは“住んだことがある”より“行ったことがある”方が高い得点を示した。地方サンプルでは情報獲得の各イメージへの影響が知識度より大きかったが，東京サンプルではこの傾向は見られなかった。発達的には地方サンプルで発達段階が上がるにつれほとんど(6イメージのうち5)のイメージ得点は高くなる傾向にあるが，東京サンプルではこのような傾向は一部のイメージにあるだけであった。発達の影響が特に大きいのは東京砂漠イメージで対人関係に関するイメージであることが発達的に徐々にこのイメージを作り上げていくのではないかと考えられる。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | We asked elementary school children，middle and high school students and adults (their parents) of four areas，Ishigaki，Shirakawa，Wakkanai，and Tokyo，about their image of Tokyo; the questionnaire included 56 image items，questions on level of knowledge of Tokyo，degree of desire for information on Tokyo，and personal characteristics like age and sex distinction. Factor analysis of the 56 image items produced an analytical factor structure of“Tokyo desert”,“fun city Tokyo”,“progressive city”,“filthiness”,“convenience”, and “business city”. Looking at the results by area，the country samples scored higher on the negative images “Tokyo desert”, “filthiness”), while the Tokyo samples scored higher on the positive images (“fun city Tokyo”, “convenience”). This was not so for the positive image“progressive city”. Those with a low level of knowledge of Tokyo had a less positive image and more negative image of Tokyo. This effect of the level of knowledge might be a major factor in the results ciassified by area. Both，posftive and negative images tended to score higher when country people had experience of either visiting or living in Tokyo. The“filthiness”factor further widened the gap between the country sample and the Tokyo sample. The “Tolyo desert”factor was higher for those who had “visited Tokyo” than for those who had “lived in Tokyo”. In the country sample，the degree of desire for information on Tokyo turned out to have more effect on each image than the level of knowledge about Tokyo，but the Tokyo sample showed no similar trends. Regarding developmental stages，the country sample scores tended to rise with higher stages of development for most of the images (five out of six)，but for the Tokyo sample this was the case only partially. That the effect of development was especially strong on the image of “Tokyo desert” probably means that this image pertaining to human relations is developing gradually with age. | |||||||||
