| 内容記述 | In this paper, the relationships between the active faults in the western part of the Kanto Plain and the Kanto basin-forming movement are considered. The active faults in this region show five tectonic features common to them. From these features, following conclusions are deduced. The active fault movement is not related directly to the down-warping of the basin, but to the relative movement at the boundary between the tilting blocks. The active faults are the rejuvenation of the preexisting fault beneath the plain. | |||||||
