 note = {高齢社会における高齢者の地域社会への関与の問題は、今日一層重要な意義を持つようになっているが、われわれは、東京23区の高齢者を対象にした調査データを用い、高齢者の地域社会への関与の仕方を、町内会・自治会への加入・非加入と近所との交際の有無を軸にして、町会・近隣型、町会加入型、近隣交際型、地域疎遠型の4つのタイプによって把握し、それぞれの特徴を明らかにしようと試みた。その結果、これらの4つのタイプの地域参加型は、高齢者の基本的属性からみても、高齢者の社会活動や生活意識においても、それぞれかなり明確な特徴をもっていること、また、地域によって、かなり異なった頻度で発現することなどが見い出され、これら4つの地域参加型は、高齢者の地域社会への関与の仕方を把握する上で、有効な分類であることが確認された。, In this paper，we study the relation between the daily life of the elderly and th community in our aging society. We focus on the elderly's participation in the community，which falls into four categories depending on the presence [+] or absence [-] of two attributes: membership in the Chonaikai (organization of community residents) and good neighborly relations. We derive four types of community participation: 1) the Chokai-Kinrin-type ([+] Chonaikai， [+] neighbors)，2) the Chokai-type ([+] Chonaikai， [-] neighbors)，3) the Kinrin-type ([-] Chonaikai，[+] neighbors)， and 4) the Isolated type ([-] Chonaikai， [-] neighbors). Analysis of the data collected in the twenty-three Central Tokyo Wards revealed the different characteristics of each type of elderly community participation in accordance with the attributes of the elderly and their social activities or social consciousness in daily life. It also showed that community culture greatly influences the frequency of community participation. This classification of community participation is expected to contribute to further studies of the relation between the daily life of the elderly and the community., postprint},
