Paying particular attention to the damage to wooden structures，we sent out a quetionnaire by means of field investigation after the earthquake at some places where the intensity of seismic motion was estimated to be relatively high and damage caused by liquefaction did not directly affect wooden sfructures. The places investigated numbered about 20 in Aomori Prefecture. Also a survey was conducted at the places where liquefaction had occurred concentrically，in Noshiro City，Akita Prefecture.
