In particular, this study deals with various types of maps, ranging from\nlarge-scale topographic maps to small-scale thematic maps, to examine the relationship between\nthe map reading process and the spatial abilities, along with the experience of geography\neducation. The results obtained in this study indicate that the process of answering questions on\nlarge-scale topographic maps is entirely affected by the spatial abilities of the respondents,\nwhereas that of answering questions on small-scale thematic maps is closely related to general\ngeographic knowledge and high school geography education. This can be due to the difference\nin the abilities required to answer the questions. The general scientific knowledge and the spatial\nability of visualization, rather than the geographic knowledge of specific places, are important to\nanswer the questions on large-scale topographic maps. In contrast, geographic knowledge of\nplace names and their locations is indispensable to answer the questions on small-scale thematic\nmaps.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_3_description_40":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Article","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_3_publisher_33":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"Department of Geography, Tokyo Metropolitan University"}]},"item_3_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA00200173","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_3_source_id_8":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"03868710","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_3_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"WAKABAYASHI, Yoshiki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"8690","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-08-04"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"20003-48-004.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.5 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"20003-48-004.pdf","url":"https://tokyo-metro-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/3102/files/20003-48-004.pdf"},"version_id":"bf1755de-1199-4f23-bdfc-0cbf9fda739e"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"map reading","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"geospatial thinking","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"spatial abilities","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"geography education","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"multi-method approach","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"ROLE OF GEOGRAPHIC KNOWLEDGE AND SPATIAL ABILITIES IN MAP READING PROCESS: IMPLICATIONS FOR GEOSPATIAL THINKING","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"ROLE OF GEOGRAPHIC KNOWLEDGE AND SPATIAL ABILITIES IN MAP READING PROCESS: IMPLICATIONS FOR GEOSPATIAL THINKING"}]},"item_type_id":"3","owner":"3","path":["571"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2013-07-29"},"publish_date":"2013-07-29","publish_status":"0","recid":"3102","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["ROLE OF GEOGRAPHIC KNOWLEDGE AND SPATIAL ABILITIES IN MAP READING PROCESS: IMPLICATIONS FOR GEOSPATIAL THINKING"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-19T18:18:49.837585+00:00"}
