 note = {この調査は、首都大学東京の日本語教育学ゼミが2006年に小笠原諸島で行った現地調査の報告である。章立ては次の通りである。1:ロングが今回の『小笠原の「多言語対応」に関する実態調査』の概説を行う。2:村の教育長や諸学校の校長や教員を対象にした面接調査のデータから、南谷奉良が小笠原の学校教育の方針と現状を探る。3:南谷が小学校の英語教育に注目して、実態調査や授業参加などから得られたデータを分析する。4:張衛良が小笠原の中学と高等学校の英語および国語教育の現状を分析する。5:下川明日美が孤島と呼ばれてきた小笠原諸島における情報化の進行具合を実態調査に基づいて検証する。6:堀内みきが小笠原の様々な公的機関の提供している多言語情報の実態を分析する。7:ゼイ・エンが張衛良と協力して作成した小笠原ビジターセンターの中国語版案内を紹介し、その作成に至るまでの課題と問題点を分析する。8:橋本早帆が自ら企画した「小笠原ことば」に関するビジターセンターの特別展示を概説する。9:新井正人が、小笠原ことばを観光資源として捉え、「目につく小笠原ことば」の写真データを分析する。10:ロングが結果をまとめながら、その位置づけ、意義、そして残された課題を検証する。, This is a report on research (conducted as part of the research project "Multidisciplinary Research for the coexistence of people and nature on the Ogasawara Islands") carried out by Daniel Long and graduate and undergraduate students of Tokyo Metropolitan University on the use of multiple languages in the Bonin (Ogasawara) Islands. Long begin with background information on Ogasawara and an outline of the project. Yoshimi Minamitani follows this with a section on the current state of and policy regarding language education, and another discussing observation studies on the state of elementary school English education. Chang Eiryou discusses Japanese and English language education at the junior and senior high school level. Next, Asumi Shimokawa examines one of the key media for transferring information (in any language) to and from the island: information technologies. Miki Horiuchi reports on our survey of what languages other than Japanese island facilities provide information in. Rui Yan provides a case study of the creation of such a foreign language resource when she examines problems and issues encountered in the creation of a Chinese language guide to the Ogasawara Visitor's Center. Saho Hashimoto outlines another subproject of this research, the creation of a special exhibit on island language. Masato Arai analyzes photographs showing the usage of island language as a tourism resource. In the final section, Long sums up the findings of the research project.},
