The object of this investigation is to explain the relationship between the characteristics of amplitude and frequency of the observed microtremors and the estimated maximum acceleration dy considering the surface ground conditions. The results indicate an existing relationship between the characteristics of the microtremors and the intensity of earthquake motions.
